Nine Cohoes Seniors sign athletic letters

Nine Cohoes seniors recently signed celebratory letters of intent to continue their athletic careers next year at the collegiate level.

Shea Bryant signed a letter to play volleyball at Sage College. She was captain of the volleyball team and was a 2nd Team Colonial Council All Star this past season. Shea is a multiple time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete.

Marissa Dodge signed a letter to play softball at HVCC. She was a 2nd Team Colonial Council All Star this year, and helped lead her team to the Class B Softball Semi Finals. Marissa is also a multiple time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete.

Mecca Hickman signed a letter to run track next year at Sage College. Mecca competed in the 100M, 200M, and the 4X100 Relay and has been a multiple time NYSPHSAA Scholar athlete.

Madison Huneau signed a letter to play basketball at Sage college. She was a Colonial Council honorable mention All Star and Section 2 Basketball Scholar athlete. In addition to basketball, Madison played soccer and lacrosse and has been a multiple time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete.  

Kaylee LaForest signed a letter to play softball at HVCC. She was a Section 2 and Colonial Council All Star in softball this past season, and helped lead her team to the Class B Softball Semi Finals. Kaylee also played volleyball this year and is a multiple time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete.

Josh Marer signed a letter to play Soccer at D’Youville College. He was a Colonial Council 1st team all star goalkeeper this year, and also played basketball and baseball. Josh has been a multiple time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete.

Leah Reed signed a letter to participate in track and field at Sage College. She threw the shot and discus for both indoor and outdoor track this year, and was a member of the volleyball team.  

Alexius Smith signed a letter to run track and field at Sage college. She has competed in many events in indoor and outdoor track and is the recent Section 2 Group 3 Pentathlon Champion. Alexius is a multiple time NYSPHSAA scholar athlete.

Austin Smith signed a letter to play baseball at D’Youville College next year. A Colonial Council Honorable Mention All Star this year, he also plays soccer and basketball. Austin is a multiple time NYSPHSAA Scholar athlete. 

We wish these athletes the best of luck on and off the field. You will always be a Cohoes Tiger!
