Congratulations to CHS seniors Madelyn Marer (Entertainment Technology II), Raven Pompeii (Game Design II), Connor Trudeau (Welding & Metal Fabrication II) and junior Dayana Peraza Zamora (Nurse Assistant I) who were among more than 70 Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School students recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).
“I’m so proud of the hard work and hands-on commitment of our career and technical education graduates,” said CHS Principal Laura Tarlo. “The skills and knowledge they will bring to the real world are so impressive and set the stage for excellence in our graduates.”
To be honored, students had to meet several criteria, including earning grade point averages (GPA) of 92 or greater at Career & Tech and an overall GPA of 85 or greater at their high schools, as well as having five or fewer absences.
“It’s mind-boggling what you have accomplished,” Kate Nickerson, assistant principal of the Career and Technical Education Center – Albany Campus said. “You have proven that you have the right stuff in your home school, and you have excelled at CTE.”
The Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical Education Center National Technical Honor Society chapter membership now represents 17 school districts and almost two dozen CTE programs.
