Cohoes district leaders and Board of Education members are working on a budget proposal for the 2020-21 school year. In its current state, the proposal will require spending cuts and efficiencies to close a $1.6 million budget gap. It also includes a 2.32 percent tax levy increase, which is within the district’s allowable limit.
Make your voice heard
For the first time, the district is using Thoughtexchange, an online platform that allows you to share your ideas, see the ideas of others, and highlight what matters most to you. Your input is invaluable as we shape the 2020-21 spending plan, so please consider joining the conversation!
Our question: What are some elements of our students’ educational experience that you value most?
The exchange is open from Monday, April 27 until 9 a.m. on Monday, May 4. The results will be posted on our website, shared with the Board of Education and discussed during the Budget Workshop on May 6.
