The District would like to remind you how a delay or closure will be communicated.
Any changes to the school day will be communicated through ParentSquare, the district’s mass notification system. The message will also be posted on our website and local media outlets.
In order for us to communicate effectively please make every effort to keep your school’s main office informed of any changes to your contact information.
Delays are typically two hours:
- Elementary Schools
Two-hour delay start time: 10:45 a.m. - Middle School
Two-hour delay start time: 10:05 a.m. - High School
Two-hour delay start time: 9:50 a.m.
If a snow day is determined, students and staff will not be expected to report to school. In the event of a delay, breakfast will not be served.
Morning closings or delays will typically be communicated by 6 a.m. Whenever schools are closed for emergency reasons after school activities will be canceled.
Please remember that neighboring districts have differing needs and challenges, and may make different decisions regarding delays and closings. Whenever our schools are closed for weather-related reasons, all after-school activities will be canceled.
