The top two students from the Cohoes Middle School eighth grade class have been announced.
Carli O’Hara achieved the rank of valedictorian with Lillie Garneau close behind as salutatorian.
Both students are members of the National Junior Honor Society, volunteer their time in the community and compete in school athletics.
“I am so proud of both of these girls,” Principal Dan Martinelli said. “They are obviously hard workers, very smart, and are excellent role models. They are growing into strong young women and I cant wait to see what they accomplish next.”
O’Hara and Garneau will deliver short speeches to their class during the middle school’s virtual promotion ceremony Wednesday, June 17.
