A message on the passing of CMS student Sean Harden

It is with our deepest sympathy that we inform you of the passing of Sean Harden, a sixth grade student at Cohoes Middle School. Sean previously attended Harmony Hill School. He had been hospitalized since the beginning of the school year as he courageously battled a sepsis infection.

Mark Perry, Harmony Hill Principal: “Sean was such a great kid. He was always smiling and I don’t think he had a mean bone in his body. He was always excited to talk about baseball, either how he did in a game or what he was going to do in the next game. Everyone here today just kept talking about his smile and what a happy kid he was. He will be missed by all.”

The district has counseling support in place and we are here to assist as needed. If you have questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact your building principal at any time.

Preparing our students for success in tomorrow’s world.
