ClassLink
ClassLink is the district Single Sign-On (SSO) that will be used by students and staff to access digital curriculum/resource sites that are SSO capable. This eliminates the need for a user to remember multiple usernames and passwords.

How to login to your Cohoes.org account and access Google Classroom
Google Classroom is a free and secure learning network for teachers, students and schools. It provides a safe way to connect, share content, participate in discussions, send and receive assignments and receive class information. All of the core Google Apps for Education are fully compliant with federal and state student privacy regulations (FERPA and NYS Education Law 2-d). The district has a signed contract with Google providing a guarantee of a very high level of student data security.
We will be using Google Classroom as an educational tool and it will be used solely for educational purposes. Google Classroom allows your child to have access to class work through the internet at any time. It is accessible online and through any mobile device with Internet capabilities—including iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

ParentSquare
ParentSquare is a new communication platform that will allow the district, administrators, and teachers to more effectively communicate with families.
Like Blackboard, ParentSquare is fully integrated with SchoolTool and will be used to send updates to our families via email, text and voice. You likely won’t notice any changes in those features.
So what’s new?
ParentSquare features an app and website which allow for direct messaging, attendance notifications, sign-ups for parent conferences and classroom events, and direct tracking of forms and permission slips. Additionally, it translates communications into 100 languages and is compliant with the latest student privacy regulations. It will also eliminate the need for parents to download numerous apps to communicate with multiple teachers.
Parents can login to ParentSquare using their email or phone number on record in SchoolTool. The ParentSquare app is available for iOS and Android devices.
