2022-23 retirees honored

Long-time faculty and staff who have or will be retiring were recognized at last week’s Board of Education meeting. 

There are seven employees with a combined total of 175 years of service to the district. 

  • Pam Bertrand – Special education teacher, 30 years – Harmony Hill
  • Carrie Briggs – Music teacher, 24 years – Harmony Hill and Abram Lansing 
  • Pam Cirincione – Treasurer, 12 years – District Office
  • Donna Honsinger – Math teacher, 31 years – Cohoes High School
  • Tom Kostrzebski –  Assistant principal, 17 years – Cohoes High School
  • Cindy Muzio – Accounts payable, 32 years – District office 
  • Sherry Thornton – Full-time aide, 29 years – Cohoes High School

“I’d like to thank our retirees for their commitment and dedication to the Cohoes school community. We wish them the best of health, happiness and success on their new journey in life,” said Superintendent Peggy O’Shea.
