Van Schaick recognizes Autism Awareness Day

Autism awareness at Van SchaickVan Schaick Grade School students and staff recognized National Autism Awareness Day on Tuesday by wearing blue or rainbow colors.

School leaders lead discussions about autism and discussed with students ways they can be a friend to a person with autism.

“We learned that we’re all pieces of a puzzle,” said Principal Jacqueline DeChiaro.
