To ensure a continuity of leadership as the district manages a uniquely challenging school year, the Cohoes Board of Education on Oct. 8 appointed Assistant Superintendent Peggy O’Shea as acting superintendent, effective Oct. 5.
In consideration of the time sensitive and critical nature of the appointment, this was the only resolution passed during Wednesday’s meeting as the district dealt with a significant internet outage. The remaining agenda items will be discussed at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
