Dear Cohoes Families,

We realize that many of our families may be affected by the temporary suspension of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits that occurred on November 1, 2025.

To assist you during this difficult time, we have compiled a list of resources available in Cohoes and Latham that can offer support. We have also included the names of each building’s social worker and encourage you to reach out should you have questions or need additional support.

Additionally, our Community Resource Guide was created to offer families an extensive list of community resources in and around the community.

Food Assistance

Cohoes CAP Pantry (ACAP)

Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10AM – 12PM. Clients may come every 30 days for food and must call 518-257-2501 before coming in. Pick up is at the Simmons Avenue entrance off the parking lot.

Matthew 25 Ministries of The United Church of Cohoes – Free weekly Meal

A free meal is offered every Saturday evening at the United Church of Cohoes. Doors open at 4pm and the meal is served 4:30PM – 5:30PM. The Clothing Room is open during the meal for shopping.
