Long-time faculty and staff who are retiring this year were recognized at the June 11 Board of Education meeting. This year, there are eight employees with a total of 184 years of service.

Cohoes Middle School
- Teresa Broomhead – Teacher Assistant, 22 years
- Teresa Gendron – Physical Education, 35 years
- Danny Gibson – Physical Education, 26 years
- Lynn Hunter – Teacher Assistant, 21 years
Cohoes High School
- Carolyn Tetrault – Teacher Aide, 27 years
Harmony Hill School
- Christine Guarnieri – Reading Specialist, 20 years
Districtwide
- William Moll – Maintenance Mechanic, 11 years
“Each of you have poured your talent and passion and time into our school community, building it to be the very foundation that we stand on today,” Board President Margaret Giller told the group. “Your contributions have made a real difference and we are profoundly grateful that you have all chosen to be here in Cohoes.”
Superintendent Peggy O’Shea said, “I would like to extend my heartfelt thank you to everyone for your hard work and dedication to the Cohoes City School District. I wish you nothing but the best as you embark on your next chapter.”
