Late Thursday night, district leaders were informed that the Cohoes Community Center will cease operations immediately due to financial issues.
The district had worked in partnership with the Community Center to run the pre-K program, and the center utilized district buildings for before- and after-school care.
The pre-K program will continue as before and our families should not experience any changes. However, starting Monday, Oct. 29, the before- and after-care programs will be suspended (after-care will still be provided on Friday, Oct. 26.)
We understand that this presents a tremendous imposition for our families, and we are working to identify other providers in the community for before- and after-school care. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
