Absentee ballot deadline extended to June 16

Gov. Cuomo on Sunday issued an executive order extending the deadline for districts to receive mailed absentee ballots for the budget vote and board election to Tuesday, June 16 at 5 p.m.

The deadline to hand deliver a ballot to the district office drop box remains Tuesday, June 9 at 5 p.m.

Ballots will be counted beginning at 5:01 p.m. on June 16. Results will be announced on June 17. Counting will be conducted in the new gym at Cohoes High School. Those wishing to observe can do so from the track above the gym. Observers must wear masks and adhere to social distancing protocols.
