Burgess heading to St. Rose for softball

Haleigh Burgess signs letter of intentCohoes senior Haleigh Burgess signed a letter of intent on Wednesday to continue her softball career at the College of St. Rose.

Burgess was named First Team Colonial Council All-Star in 2017 and 2018, and a Second Team Times Union All-Star in 2018.

“I’m excited. I feel ready to play at the college level,” she said.

Burgess added that being able to play close to home, with family members rooting her on, factored into her decision.

“One of the reasons I love playing softball is that they’ve been by my side the whole time,” she said.

Burgess plans to pursue a degree in education at St. Rose.
