Computer Support Technician

Required knowledge, skills and abilities: Good knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques utilized in computer systems analysis; techniques and concepts; good knowledge of a wide variety of computer software packages; ability to train others in the use of computers and various software packages; ability to prepare written documentation for system configurations; ability to perform close detail work; tact, courtesy, dependability; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. 
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of two (2) years of college with specialization in Computer Sciences; OR Two (2) years of paid experience in installation, maintenance, repair of computers, peripherals, and software or A+ Certification; OR An equivalent combination of (A) and (B) on a one to one basis
Schedule:  Work Year – 12-month work year 
Location:  Administration Office 
Salary:  As per CSEA contract

Notice of Vacancy – Assistant Director of Facilities

Title:  Assistant Director of Facilities, full-time 
Minimum Qualifications: A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college with an Associate’s degree in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical Technology or a related field and four (4) years of maintenance experience in a like facility, two (2) years of which must have been in a position with management responsibilities and supervision of staff; OR B. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and eight (8) years of experience as defined by the limits of (A) above, two (2) years of which must have been in a position with management responsibilities and supervision of staff; OR C. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above. 
Special Requirement: Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license and certificates appropriate to the vehicles. Equipment and/or machinery operated at time of appointment or during the course of employment consistent with the needs of the school district. 
Schedule: 12-month work year

Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; MA degree in education, educational administration, counseling, social work or related field required;
  • New York State administrative certification as a School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL) and New York State certification in Elementary, Secondary or Special Education or a related field such as school counselor, school social worker, school psychologist required;
  • Must have a minimum of six years of teaching, social work, counseling or psychologist experience. Administrative experienced preferred;

Schedule: 12-month work year (Central Office schedule)
Location: Administrative Office
Salary: To be determined based on qualifications and experience

Required knowledge, skills and abilities: Good general intelligence, ability to establish good relationships with children and others, familiarity with classroom routine, background or knowledge in specific field where specialized duties are involved, above average clerical aptitude, resourcefulness in conducting above-described activities indirectly related to teaching process, neat personal appearance, ability to maintain discipline, tact, courtesy, good judgment, physical condition commensurate with the demands and duties of the position.
Acceptable Experience and Training: Graduation from high school or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
