Shortly before dismissal Thursday afternoon, Cohoes Middle School administrators were made aware of a threat of violence from one student to another. Administrators immediately called Cohoes police, who visited the homes of the students involved.
Police have deemed the threat not credible. As a precaution, there will be an increased security presence on Friday at the middle school.
The district works closely with Cohoes police to respond quickly to any threat of violence in order to keep our students and staff safe. If you have any questions about safety practices in our schools, please reach out to your building administrator.
