Emergency release drill on Friday, Oct. 5

New York State requires all school districts to hold an annual “Emergency Release” drill to ensure that students and staff know what to do in case an emergency requires school grounds to be cleared prior to dismissal.

The Cohoes City School District will conduct this drill on Friday, October 5. All schools will dismiss 15 minutes earlier than their regular dismissal that day.

CDTA buses will still be available for CMS and CHS students. Students staying after school for athletics or other activities will be allowed back in once the drill is complete.

Please note that there is no school on Monday, October 8 for Columbus Day.

Preparing our students for success in tomorrow’s world.
