Emergency early release drill set for Friday, Oct. 9

All Cohoes schools will release students 15 minutes early on Friday, Oct. 9 for the annually required drill to practice emergency dismissal procedures.

These drills are conducted to ensure that everyone in the building knows what to do in the event of an emergency. Teachers will inform students of the drill ahead of time in an age-appropriate manner, particularly at the elementary school. There is nothing that the district takes more seriously than the safety of our students and staff, and preparedness is part of that effort.

Parents who have any questions about the drill are encouraged to contact their child’s school.

Please note that there is no school on Monday, October 12 in observance of Columbus Day.

Preparing our students for success in tomorrow’s world.
