COVID-19 notifications

In order to streamline our communication efforts and ensure families and individuals directly impacted by cases affiliated with our school community receive and read important updates, we will post daily updates to this page.

Beginning Sept. 13, 2021, COVID updates and/or messages reporting any cases confirmed by Albany County Department of Health will be posted here daily (Monday-Friday while school is in session). Please be sure to bookmark this page if you would like to easily access daily updates. You can also find a link to the page on the banner at the top of each district webpage.

Please note if there is no community message on the district website posted for a particular school day, then the district did not receive confirmation from the Albany County Public Health Department of any positive cases for that day.

Please note the district’s communication protocol may change if COVID circumstances warrant it.

COVID Notifications

The district received notification of the following COVID-19 cases:

MONDAY, SEPT. 27, 2021

  • One individual at Harmony Hill School tested positive. The individual was last in school on Sept. 24. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • Three individuals at Abram Lansing tested positive. Two individuals were last in school on Sept. 22 and the other was last in school on Sept. 23. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 26, 2021

  • Two individuals at Cohoes Middle School tested positive. Both individuals were last in school on Sept. 21. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • One individual at Harmony Hill School tested positive. The last day they were in school was Sept. 22.  No additional contact tracing is required by ACDOH.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 24, 2021

  • Two individuals have tested positive at Abram Lansing School. Both individuals were last in school on Sept. 20. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 23, 2021

  • One individual at Van Schaick Grade School has tested positive. They were last in school on Friday, Sept. 17. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • Two individuals at Harmony Hill School have tested positive. The last day both individuals were in school was Thursday, Sept. 16. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • One individual at Abram Lansing School has tested positive. They were last in school on Wednesday, Sept. 22. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • One individual at Cohoes High School has tested positive. The last day they were in school was Thursday, Sept. 16. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 22, 2021

  • Two individuals at Cohoes Middle School have tested positive. One individual was last in school on Monday, Sept. 20 and the other individual was last in school on Tuesday, Sept. 21. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • One individual at Abram Lansing School has tested positive. They were last in school on Tuesday, Sept. 21. No additional contact tracing is necessary per ACDOH.
  • One individual at Van Schaick Grade School has tested positive. They were last in school on Tuesday, Sept. 21. Anyone who is required to quarantine has been contacted by school district officials and will also be contacted by ACDOH.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 21, 2021

  • One individual tested positive at Cohoes High School.  The individual was last in school on Monday, Sept. 20. Anyone who is required to quarantine has been contacted by school officials and will also be contacted by ACDOH.
  • One individual tested positive at Abram Lansing School.  The individual was last in school on Friday, Sept. 17.  No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.

MONDAY, SEPT. 20, 2021

  • One individual at Van Schaick Grade School tested positive. The individual was last in the building on Tuesday, Sept. 14. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • One individual at Cohoes Middle School tested positive.  The individual was last in the building on Friday, Sept. 17. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • One individual at Cohoes High School tested positive. The individual was last in the building on Monday, Sept. 13. No additional contact tracing is required per ACDOH.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 17, 2021

  • One individual Van Schaick Grade School tested positive. The individual’s last day in school was Sept. 13. No contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • One individual at Harmony  Hill School tested positive. The individual’s last day in school was Sept. 15. No contact tracing is required per ACDOH.
  • Two individuals at Abram Lansing School have tested positive.  Both individuals were last in school on Sept. 16. No contact tracing is required per ACDOH.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 15, 2021

  • One individual at Harmony Hill School tested positive. The individual’s last day in school was Sept. 10. No contact tracing is required per ACDOH.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 14, 2021

  • One individual at Cohoes High School tested positive. The individual’s last day in school was Sept. 7. No contract tracing or quarantining required per ACDOH.
MONDAY, SEPT. 13, 2021
  • Two individuals at Cohoes Middle School tested positive. One person’s last day in school was Wednesday, Sept. 8. The other individual’s last day in school was Friday, Sept. 10. No contact tracing is required per ACDOH.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 10, 2021

  • One positive case in Cohoes Middle School. The individual was last in school on Sept. 7.  The Albany County Department of Health (ACDOH) has advised the district that no contact tracing is necessary.
  • One positive case in Harmony Hill. The individual at Harmony Hill was last in school on Sept. 8.  ACDOH advised the district that no contact tracing is necessary.
  • One positive case at Van Schaick  Grade School. The individual’s last day in school was Sept. 7, and ACDOH has advised that no contract tracing is required.
