Board of Education petitions available for interested candidates

Candidate petitions for the Cohoes City School District Board of Education are now available for the May 2019 election.

This year, voters will elect three candidates. Those individuals will serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2019.

Current board members whose terms will end June 30, 2019, include: Andrea Frangie, Jeremy McDonald, and Mark Pascale.

Those interested in obtaining a petition to run for the Board of Education should email Johanna Maloney, District Clerk – jmmalone@cohoes.org.

Petitions must be returned to the district office, located at 21 Page Avenue, no later than May 1, 2019 at 5 p.m. Each petition must be signed by at least 100 qualified voters.

The school board election and budget vote will take place on Tuesday, May 21 from noon to 9 p.m.
