Book Swap spurs reading frenzy at Harmony Hill
The 2013 Book Swap was more successful than ever with more than 2,000 recycled books being exchanged in the Commons. Students and staff spent the last two weeks bringing used books from home to share with each other. In its third year, the swap is organized by teachers Kiera Hovey and Jennifer Ducharme to encourage reading and literacy at the school. more>>
Girl scouts share wildlife conservation project with HH friends
Two fifth graders recently presented their Girl Scout Bronze Award Project about wildlife conservation to schoolmates at Harmony Hill. Kylie Lemons and Anna Peltier and their troop members had to identify something in their community that they felt needed to be changed. 2013-14 UPK registration set for May 28 through June 5
The Cohoes City School District offers a free, full-day Universal Pre-kindergarten (UPK) program. Children are eligible if they are residents of Cohoes and will be four years old on or before December 1. The number of openings depends on state funding. Learn more here>>
