School taxes should remain
payable to the Cohoes City School District until further notice.
Payments may be made in person at the HSBC Bank or mailed to
HSBC Bank, 100 Mohawk St., Cohoes, NY 12047.
When are my taxes due?
School taxes are due in two installments: half
on Sept. 30 and half on March 31. Taxpayers will receive a bill
prior to each date notifying them of the balance due. A penalty
fee will be applied for late payments.
Where do I send my payment?
Taxes can by paid at the HSBC Bank (Cohoes
branch only). Payments can be made in person or mailed to HSBC
Bank, 100 Mohawk St., Cohoes, NY 12047.
Who do I make my check out to?
Checks should be made out to the Cohoes City
School District.
Can I make payments in person?
Yes, but only at HSBC Bank (Cohoes branch)
during normal business hours. For security purposes, no payments
will be accepted at the schools.
If I pay my taxes through an escrow account
do I have to notify my mortgage holder?
No. The process should be seamless and you
should not have to make any adjustments. If you receive your
bill in error please forward it to your mortgage holder.
