Cohoes High School recognized in national high school rankings

May 1, 2017—Cohoes High School was recognized in the National Rankings of best high schools by U.S. News & World Report, earning a bronze medal. Schools across the country are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college.

The data used in the ranking comes from the 2014-15 academic year. At that time, 31 percent of students who attended Cohoes High School were enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Among those AP students, 46 percent received a 3 or above on the AP exam (5 points max) earning up to 6 college credits while in high school.

CHS also earned marks for a low student-teacher ratio at 12:1.
