Cohoes faculty and staff kick off a new school year Cohoes administrators at Peebles Island

September 2, 2015—Cohoes faculty and staff gathered today to kick off a new year and prepare for the students' return next Tuesday. Superintendent Jennifer Spring welcomed everyone with a message of unity and direction: "Together we are charting a new course for Cohoes City School District."

Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services, Peggy O'Shea, joined Spring in celebrating a new year and sharing the district's vision and strategic goals. The duo also outlined a framework of professional development, academic and behavioral supports that will help district leaders, staff and students reach those goals together.

Following the opening program, staff returned to their individual buildings for faculty meetings and quick reunions before diving back in to the busy work of preparing for their students and a fresh start in the 2015-16 school year.
