2012 Kindergarten Registration Information
Jan. 23, 2012— The Cohoes City School District has announced it will be conducting its annual kindergarten registration March 26-30, 2012. Registration is for children who are Cohoes residents and will be five years old on or before December 1, 2012.
Registration will take place at Abram Lansing School located at 26 James St., Cohoes, New York according to the following schedule:

Monday, March 26 - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, March 27 - 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, March 28 - 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday, March 29 - 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Friday, March 30 – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registration is by appointment only. Please call Mrs. Smith at 237-4131 ext. 2299 at the registration office to make an appointment to register your child. If your child is currently in the UPK program, you do not need to register him or her for kindergarten.
Items that must be brought to registration are the child’s:
1) Original birth certificate
2) Complete immunization record and current physical
3) Custody papers (if this applies)
4) Parent’s or Guardian’s Photo ID
5) Parent’s or Guardian’s proof of residency:
If you own your home: Proof of ownership such as a deed, tax bill or mortgage papers along with a utility bill. If you rent: A copy of your Residential Occupancy Permit (ROP). You may obtain this through your landlord or call the Code Enforcement Office at Cohoes City Hall at 233-2127. Your child’s school will notify you of the date and time of your child’s screening. If your child has already registered through the Cohoes Head Start program, please disregard this notice.
