CHS standouts honored at Capital Region soccer banquet
Last month, two Cohoes boys soccer players were honored at the
annual Capital Region Boys Soccer Banquet in Saratoga. Freshman
Brandon Laforest and Connor Laughlin, a junior, were named to All
Colonial Council teams. Laforest was named First Team All Colonial
Council and Laughlin, CHS team captain, was named Second Team All
Colonial Council.
For Laforest, it was the second year in a row he received an All League nomination. Last year, he was honored with a Second Team award. Laughlin and Laforest were also named co-MVP's for the Cohoes team.
"Not only have the boys excelled on the playing field, they both excel in the classroom, maintaining stellar academic averages and making it to the High Honor Roll," said Varsity Soccer Coach Dave Wasserman. "With Brandon as a freshman and Connor as a junior, the boys are looking forward to another successful year in 2012."
