Superintendent Robert Libby elected president of the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal

Sept. 9, 2010 – Superintendent of Schools Robert K. Libby was elected president of the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal during the organization's August meeting.

The district has subscribed to NYSIR since 1996, and Libby has served on the board since that time.

"I am looking forward to playing a leadership role on the board," Libby said.

NYSIR is a not-for-profit reciprocal insurance company for K-12 public schools. The group, which formed in 1989, is owned by participating school districts in New York State. Schools are the only type of risks NYSIR insures. Today there are more than 330 school districts insured in the program. For more information about NYSIR, visit the organization's website here.
