Oct.
29, 2010 - Students from Abram Lansing Elementary School put their
good character traits to work during National Character COUNTS! Week
by helping out at Cohoes Music Hall.
Throughout the week, students walked to the music hall and did a little bit of everything to help keep things running smoothly.
“The music hall is a local treasure and it was a great opportunity for our kids to be able to help keep it in top condition so that everyone can enjoy it,” said Principal Cliff Bird.
The students put together and folded programs for an upcoming show, made collars for costumes in another upcoming show, painted some pieces of the set for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and cleaned everything from windows to walls, seats, floors and banisters.
As a special treat for their hard work, the
students
had a chance to go back stage and see things from the other side of
the curtain.
