Walking for unity and a cure

Photo of CTA members.Oct. 22, 2010 – On Oct. 18, members of the Cohoes Teachers Association, along with family and friends, participated in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk of Albany, and raised more than $1,800.

Teachers from Cohoes High School, Cohoes Middle School, Harmony Hill School and Abram Lansing School participated in the walk, and staff at all of the buildings contributed money.

"My sister, Candice Perry, was my inspiration for forming this team," said CHS teacher Kim Angus who organized the effort in Cohoes.  "It was nice to walk with colleagues and their families. It really meant a lot to my family to see how the CCSD supported one of its own."

"The CTA and I hope to continue this event in the years to come," Angus said.
