Character COUNTS! week to be celebrated Oct. 18-22 at Van Schaick
October 10, 2010 - Students at Van Schaick Grade School will be celebrating the importance of character during national Character COUNTS! Week though several activities at their school.
Throughout the week, students will participate in a food drive, contests, a walk for juvenile diabetes and see an anti-bullying performance.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday, Oct. 18 Tom the Turkey Food Drive begins and Van Schaick
Bully Slogan Contest begins
Tuesday, Oct. 19 Juvenile Diabetes Walk at 2 p.m. (Parents are
welcome.)
Wednesday, Oct. 20 “The Bullying Show” by The Hill Brothers and
Mayor McDonald’s Anti-Bullying Proclamation Shows will be held at
12:30 & 1:30 p.m. (Parents are welcome.)
Thursday, Oct. 21 “Dealing with Bullying & Cyberbullying” Parent
Program Van Schaick Library from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 22 Monthly Celebration (Parents are welcome.) Food
Drive ends.
