Students, staff and parents sang and danced with The Hill
Brothers at The Bullying Show during Character Education Week.
Everyone was invited to join in and be a part of the "I Will Not
Bully Anyone Crazy Dance."
The program empowered students to recognize and take a stand against bullying in all of it's forms. There was a special emphasis placed on techniques for responding to a bullying situation, both as a victim and as a bystander.
Students also sang the crowd favorite "There's No Place for Bullies In Our School," which they learned throughout the month of October in music class.
Special guest, Mayor McDonald, joined the festivities by reciting
his official Proclamation, declaring October as Bullying Awareness
month in the City of Cohoes. In addition, the Mayor was the first to
sign the school's pledge to "Stomp Out Bullying and Be Kind to
Others." Students, teachers, and CHS Football players also signed
the pledge vowing to work together to eliminate bullying at Van Schaick and in Cohoes.
