Board of Education honors top students of the Class of 2011
May 19, 2011 - The Cohoes Board of Education this week honored the top three academic students of the CHS Class of 2011. Valedictorian Valerie Kisselback, Salutatorian Bailei Tetrault and Shana Cooper were presented at the Board Meeting by CHS Principal Joe Rajczak. Mr Rajczak noted that all three students had engaged in rigorous academic programs at the high school; were accomplished athletes in several sports; and had partipated in numerous co-curriculars, including student government, music and drama.
Kisselback, who earlier this year was named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist and AP Scholar, will attend the College of the Holy Cross in the fall to study liberal arts.
Ms. Tetrault plans to attend Rensselaer Polytechic Institute in fall to study engineering. Shana Cooper will enroll at UAlbany and plans to study sociology and criminal justice.
