May 4, 2011 — Learn more about the seven candidates who will appear on the ballot on May 17 when the Albany County League of Women Voters, the Capital Area Council on Churches, and various parent organizations from the Cohoes Schools host Meet the Candidates Night, Wednesday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Cohoes Middle School in the library.
On May 17, as part of School Budget Voting day, Cohoes voters will elect four members of the Board of Education, two who will serve full terms beginning July 1 and two who will complete partial terms of two board members who resigned. All board candidates have been invited. They include (in order of how they will appear on the ballot): Chuck Mossey, Laurie Rizzo, Anne Marie Hume, Christine Batchelder, John Charles, Matt Nolin and Chris Briggs.

Voters can register at one of the city's three elementary schools (Van Schaick, Harmony Hill or Abram Lansing) during normal school hours.
