Transition Program to host Financial Aid workshop on March 31
Mar. 25 - On Thursday, March 31 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at CHS, the Transition Program will host a Financial Aid workshop for students planning to attend college and their parents. A college financial aid representative will be on hand to help students and parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - the comprehensive form that is the critical link in receiving college financial aid. An ACCES-VR counselor will also be available.
A college financial aid representative will be available to sit with you to complete the FAFSA online application. Students or parents should contact Transition Specialist Stephanie Moryl at 518-421-9791 or smoryl@cohoes.org to reserve a time to complete the FAFSA. It is also important that parents or students print the attached list of needed documentation for completing the FAFSA and bring the required documentation to the session.
ACCES-VR (formerly VESID) counselor, Debbie Gabrione, will be in attendance between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to answer any questions regarding ACCES-VR services and how applying for Financial Aid can impact those services.
