UPK lottery drawing to be held at CMS on Monday, June 13
June 8, 2011 - A lottery to determine enrollment
in the 2011-2012 Univeral Pre-kindergarten program will be held on
Monday, June 13 at 4:30 p.m. at the Cohoes Middle School Library.
Funding for Univeral Pre-kindergarten in Cohoes for the 2011-2012
school year is for 69 enrolled students. Since more than 69
applications were submitted during the registration period that
ended June 2, openings will be filled by random selection as
required by law. Parents or guardians who submitted eligible
applications are welcome to attend. All registered applicants will
be informed of the results of the lottery. Students not selected
through the lottery will be placed on a waiting list. That list will
also be determined as part of the lottery drawing.
