CHS summer school schedule, registration information now available
June 2, 2011— The course schedule and offerings for summer school are now available and include several courses that -- for the first time -- will be available for summer credit recovery through the school's NovaNET program. The NovaNET courses, available online in the school's NovaNET lab, will only be available to Cohoes High School students. Summer session runs from July 7-August 16, Monday-Thursday only.
Registration will be in person only at Cohoes High School. Registration for resident and nonresident students will be on Wednesday, June 29th, from 8:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. and June 30th, from 11:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.
Summer school is free for Cohoes residents. The nonresident fee is $225.00 per course plus a $3.00 registration fee payable at the time of registration. Nonresident students enrolled in summer school will also be allowed to sign-up for additional walk-in Regent exams. An additional $30.00 registration fee would be required per Regent’s examination.
Nonresident students will also be allowed to sign up for review classes. The cost of a class is $65.00 plus a $3.00 registration fee. If the student needs to take a Regents exam, an additional $30.00 will be required at registration. Review classes will be taught beginning Wednesday, August 3, 2011 to Tuesday, August 16, 2011, on a four day a week during the Session II or Session III time slot (Monday- Thursdays only). In addition, nonresident students may register as a walk-in only for any Regent’s exam at $30.00.
All fees are due at registration. Only cash or
bank checks will be accepted. No personal checks will be accepted
for payment.
A tentative listing of courses is enclosed. Some courses may not be
offered due to low enrollment. If you have any questions, please
call Mr. Bryan Wood at Cohoes High School 237-9100 ext. 1404. School
exams will be held on August 16, 2011 and Regents exams will be held
on August 17 and 18, 2011.
