 Tetrault, Sorel collect 2011 Section II Scholar Athlete awards

June 3,  2011— CHS seniors Bailei Tetrault and Joe Sorel last week travelled to the Crowne Plaza in downtown Albany to receive their awards as 2011 Section II Scholar Athletes. The awards banquet was hosted by the Sports Foundation of the Capital District to honor those students who excel in the classroom and in their chosen sports.

Athletic directors, principals, and guidance departments from all Capital Region schools are invited to nominate one young man and one young woman from their school's senior class. These nominees have exemplified the highest achievements, in both scholastic and athletic ability.

In the Sports Foundation and community's eyes, all nominees are 'winners' because they have been selected by their school for recognition. All nominees are also featured in a special section in the Times Union. For a complete list of area 2011 Scholar Athletes, click here.
