Sept. 3, 2010 – Cohoes City Schools District Treasurer Adam Hotaling will be leaving the district later this month to accept a new position in the business office of Capital Region BOCES.
Hotaling, who graduated from Cohoes High School in 2000, submitted his resignation to the Board of Education at its Sept. 1, 2010, meeting. He has worked for the district since 2007, first serving as treasurer and later the district's business official.
"Cohoes is my home, and I will miss many things about working for the district that provided me with my education," Hotaling said. "I have enjoyed my time working in the community and I look forward to maintaining my ties with the schools as a parent and an employee of BOCES."
Superintendent of Schools Robert K. Libby is sad to see Hotaling go.
"Adam has worked hard to oversee our district’s construction projects and finances during particularly trying financial times for districts around the state, and he leaves the district's finances in a well-managed condition," Libby said. "We're excited for him and this next step in his career, but we will miss him."
Hotaling’s last day with the district will be Sept. 24, 2010.
The Board of Education will decide how to proceed
with the vacant position.
