Cohoes seniors Tetrault and Alread honored by Board of EducationStudents Honored by BOE

At the February meeting, CHS seniors Bailei Tetrault and Craig Alread were honored by the Cohoes Board of Education after being named Physical Edcuation Students of the Year, representing Cohoes. The award is presented by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance to students who demonstrate a high level of physical performance; scholastic achievement; exceptional leadership qualities; and oustanding service to school and community.

Tetrault, who is ranked second in the Class of 2011, is a standout player and current captain of the Girls' basketball team. She has been a member of the basketball and softball programs program for five years and a soccer team member for four years. Among many other activities, Bailei is president of the Girls' Athletic Association and president of the National Honor Society. She will attend RPI in the fall.

Craig Alread is a four-year member of the indoor track team and the baseball team. He is a member of the French Club, the Community Service Club and the Varsity Athletic Club. Craig's Physical Education teachers have recognized him as a class leader who respects differences among his peers and is willing to assist fellow students in achieving success in Physical Education. They are pleased he is planning to study Physical Education when he attends college in the fall.
