Dec. 13, 2010 – Students and staff at Harmony Hill got a
holiday gift early this year, in the form of new learning spaces.
This past November, a two-classroom addition opened at the school. The new space has a room specifically for art classes, so they no longer have to share a space with the music program. The room has multiple sinks, which makes clean-up easier for students, and small work tables. The second new classroom in the addition houses a regular class.

With the new art room, the music program now has a dedicated classroom, and a dedicated rehearsal space for the band. Prior to this, band equipment, chairs and music stands had to be set up and taken down regularly for practices.
The occupational/physical therapy program also has a permanent space now, so the program is no longer located on the stage in the cafetorium. This means greater flexibility for both spaces.
The school also has a new conference room, which is larger and can comfortably fit a meeting or student group, an expanded nurse’s office and gymnasium upgrades.
"We are so excited about these new spaces at Harmony Hill," said Principal Mark Perry. "It makes everything easier to have dedicated rooms for these programs."
The addition is part of a $45 million voter-approved capital project.
