Sixth
graders and their families will have the opportunity to explore
Cohoes Middle School again on Saturday, August 20 from 10 a.m. to 12
noon. Several students and their families attended the first Open
Doors event on Friday. The Open Door is designed to give
students an opportunity to find their classrooms and their lockers
and become more familiar with the layout of the school before the
first day of classes.
Two sessions are available to choose from. Principal Dan Martinelli and Assistant Principal Deanna Kelly are on site to welcome students and families and to address any questions or concerns.
Sixth grade students and parents who were not able to make Friday's session are encouraged to visit the school during one of the sessions and can also bring their school supplies and stock their lockers during their visit.
Schedules will be mailed to parents during the third week of August. For more information, please contact the Middle School at 237-4131.
Also, please remember that summer reading lists for Grade 6, summary pages and instructions for the "literary element mobile" can all be found here.
