Respect Day and Leadership Conference at CHS is Tuesday, May 3
April 27, 2011 —On May 3rd, the CHS anti-bullying committee
will host an assembly for all students with guest speaker Dr. Steven
“Bird” Birchak, a renowned leader in character development and
conflict resolution who combines optimism with humor to deliver a
hopeful message to students.
A leadership conference will take also take place in the library
from 10:45am – 12:15pm and will be conducted by Dr. Bird and Cathy
Welling from the Capital region BOCES.
The purpose of the leadership conference will be to develop a team
of students and faculty that are willing to work together to create
a positive school climate and culture. Among the topics that will be
discussed are student-centered initiatives, peer mediation and
conflict resolution.
