Tigers work on team building during break

April 26, 2011 —The Cohoes Football Tigers took a day over April break to get away from the usual demand of football to spend some time on a fun team building activity. The players were given the option of showing up to the high school on Wednesday over April break for a Team activity - the catch being that the players did not know what the team activity was or where the team was going.

The players were prepared for anything, some came wearing warm clothes in preparation to be outside in the rain, some were wearing goggles, and others in workout clothes expecting a hard training session. The team ventured to a local bowling alley to spend the morning bowling, bonding, and competing.

The players were split into four teams of five players each to compete against each other and the team of 4 coaches. At the end of the day, the Coaches Team won the two games of bowling by a small margin each time. Joe Lawson bowled the high single game for the players with a 149, and Anthony Dumesnill bowled the two-game high with a score of 238. Coach Cross scored the single and double high score for the coaches with a 217 single, and a 404 double.

When the bowling was finished the team enjoyed a pizza lunch together, while continuing to work on building relationships with each other. The players contributed to the day with the remainder of the cost being covered from the Cohoes Football Booster Club.
