Students
from Mme Dunn's seventh- and eighth-grade French class participated
in a special day traveling to Massachusetts on June 1 to see
stunning French art at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute
in Williamstown, Mass.
The museum and the coach bus trip were free of charge to our students because of the generous funding offered by the Clark Art Institute. In addition to the Institute's gem, their large collection of magnificent nineteenth-century French Impressionist paintings, our students learned about amazing European paintings and art objects from as early as the 1400s.
After a pizza lunch, the group stopped in North Adams at the Natural Bridge State Park where our students saw a huge 60-foot gorge. Moreover, the highlight at this park is New England's true geological wonder, a white marble bridge formed from glaciers.
Quelle experience fantastique!
