Cohoes Scholar Athletes recognized
Two
Cohoes students were recognized at the Sports Foundation of the
Capital Region's annual scholar-athlete awards dinner, held on
Wednesday, May 26, at the Crowne Plaza in Albany.
More than 100 student athletes were honored at the dinner, including Courtney Charbonneau and Josh LeMay from Cohoes.
According to the Times Union, each spring, principals and athletic directors at Section II schools are invited to submit nominations on behalf of one outstanding male and one outstanding female scholar athlete from members of the senior class. Representatives from local colleges serve on a panel of judges and review all applications to select the honorees. Eight finalists, four male and four female, are chosen to receive scholarship recognition for their achievements.
