On
May 27, Harmony Hill held its Annual Walk for Juvenile Arthritis and
raised a total of $2,145.52 for the Juvenile Arthritis Society.
To make the fund raising fun, a contest was held to see which fans could raise the most money— New York Yankees fans or Boston Red Sox fans. Mr. Keith promised that he would have the logo of the team that raised the most money shaved into the back of his head.
The Yankees fans raised $555.15 and the Boston Red Sox fans raised $1590.37. Being the good sport that he is, Mr. Keith had the "B" logo shaved into the back of his head by Rumors Hair Salon in Latham, who attended a school assembly to do the haircut.
In the raffle, Mr. Van Dyke won a $300 family membership, donated by the Cohoes Community Center, and Rileigh Schumacher won an I-pod Touch, donated by Mrs. Stacy Smith and Mrs. Tara Walker.
