Siena College Mens' Basketball
team players bring a message of encouragement
Three
members of the Siena College mens basketball team and an
assistant coach spoke to students in the ALP class at Page
Avenue School, bringing a message of encouragement and the
importance of education.
"You guys need to finish school," said senior
guard Tay Fisher, a team captain. He stressed the importance of
a family and being able to take care of that family, as well as
trust between members of a team, such as the students in the ALP
class.
Team members Chris De La Rosa, a freshman guard, and Kenny
Hasbrouck, a junior guard also talked with students, encouraging
them to work hard in school.
"Failures are going to happen, but the one thing you can always
control is your attitude," said assistant coach Andrew Francis.
In addition to their talk with students, the team members
brought gift bags for the kids, which included t-shirts, trading
cards, water bottles and other items.
