Students learn about the stage
On
Sept. 28, co-founder of the Cohoes Music Hall Tony Rivera spoke
to students at the Page Avenue School.
Rivera taught the students about the theater—all
of the roles that go into preparing and presenting a production,
including light and sound technicians, costume designers, set
builders, musicians, actors and other jobs.
"Don't feel like you have to be a performer to
be in theater," Rivera told the students, encouraging them to
think about what they are good at, and then consider how it
might relate to the theater if being in a performing arts
setting is something they'd like to pursue.
