Multiage students publish poetry

The students in the multiage classroom "published" their poetry books recently.

Each day, during the classroom's Writer's Workshop, the students write in a variety of genres. After each genre and before publication, they edit, check that their writing makes sense, and examine punctuation, capitalization and spelling, and then create a final copy for publication.

The class has a day of celebration after completing each genre to share their published works with each other, and at the end of the day they take their published pieces home to share with their family and friends.
